Did Angelina Jolie go on a date with a lady in Paris a few nights ago?
Published on:
Over the weekend, there were some photos of Angelina Jolie out in Paris, having dinner at Lapérouse with a female friend. I’m including some of the blurry shots at the end of this post, because… well, the way Backgrid wrote it up was interesting: “The two women arrive together in the same car and end their night heading back to the same hotel for the remainder of the night.” Is it possible that Angelina quietly has a girlfriend (or a lover/friend) whom she visits in Paris and they occasionally have a night out, or a night together? Perhaps. Or maybe they’re just friends. Who knows. The female friend gives me “grown up Kristen Stewart” vibes, for what it’s worth.
While Angelina was in Paris, she also stopped by the Institut Curie:
Angelina Jolie was very “moved” by a recent visit to the Institut Curie, France’s leading center in the fight against cancer. The Maleficent: Mistress of Evil actress, who has been open about her own cancer scares in the past, spent time with young patients and their families on Saturday, and also met with doctors to discuss the latest discoveries in breast and ovarian cancer research.
“It was a very moving, very human experience to see doctors from around the world coming together every day trying to find solutions to cancer, working alongside the very patients — some of them young children — who are undergoing treatment,” Jolie, 44, said in a statement. “I could see the close bond the doctors and scientific teams have with the patients and their families, who are battling cancer together with so much love and care. I was especially moved by a boy undergoing treatment who told me he had already decided to be a doctor when he grows up, so he can help the doctors he so admires.”
The mom of six also noted, “New scientific discoveries are being made and new medical treatments developed. The most important thing, from my own experience, is to seek advice and be informed about your options.”
It’s been six years since Angelina’s double-mastectomy and four years since she had her ovaries and Fallopian tubes removed. Cancer runs through her mother’s side of the family so strongly, and Angelina has spoken before about how she has always worried that she would die young, like her mother and like her aunt. She’s never recommended those procedures to women, but merely used her platform to educate and encourage people to seek further education.
