People reports that rich people who are in a higher class than you and are friends with each other, also knew each other when they were younger! Cool, huh? Gwyneth Paltrow and Kerry Washington went to high school together. Gwyneth was a senior and Kerry was an eight-grader. And guess what? Gwyneth was just like she is now. Gwyneth Paltrow as a moody, snobby teenager? YIKES times infinity.

While on Ellen, Kerry Washington let Ellen DeGeneres know that she wasn’t the only one with a questionable white friend. 42-year-old Kerry told Ellen that she and Gwyneth both attended The Spence School, an all-girls school in New York.

“In high school, a few years difference makes a big deal. So, I’m not trying to say that she’s older than me, but she’s a little bit older than me… She was a senior when I was in junior high school. Even back then, she was Gwyneth Paltrow.”

What does that mean? That she was an extortionist hyper-self-obsessed pseudo-science-pushing rich girl who forgot things/people deemed irrelevant?

Kerry and Gwyneth did cross paths, even though THEE Gwyneth Paltrow was a senior and way too cool to speak with Kerry; as they did a Shakespeare play together:

“We actually did one play together–because she was the queen, of course, in Midsummer Night’s Dream, and I was one of the fairies. The middle schoolers were allowed to audition for the fairies… So, we had one amazing show together.”

This has been talked about before when Kerry was on the Goop podcast with Gwyneth back in September:

“This is so surreal. I was a senior in high school, and Kerry was in eighth grade … I was in an acapella singing group called ‘Triple Trio’ … We were holding auditions because a bunch of us were graduating and in walks Kerry Washington. This beautiful eighth-grader comes in so confident, in front of all these seniors. She opened her mouth and the most exquisite voice came out of this eighth-grader.”

I’m sure it was amazing being friends with a high-school aged Gwyneth Paltrow. I’m sure being peer-pressured into becoming a test subject for her jade cooch eggs was the highlight of their childhood and didn’t leave any lasting vaginal scarring or burns.
