Harry Styles had to cancel his Super Bowl gig on Friday night, and instead opted for a quiet dinner with pal Rande Gerber.
Styles was seen supping at Per Se chef Thomas Keller’s The Surf Club with the Casamigos partner, and a source told us that, “Rande was meeting Harry, they’re really good friends.” Styles announced to crushed fans earlier on Twitter, “I was told there’s a severe storm on the way. The fire department would not let us do the show under any circumstances. Please stay safe. I’m so disappointed, and I’m sorry.”
It was just one of a number of Miami events that was rained out on Friday night. Though a Guns N’ Roses show safely inside the American Airlines Arena did go on as part of the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest.
Pharrell Williams and Snoop Dogg also performed. In the crowd (of mostly aging rockers) were Joe Montana and Guy Fieri. On Thursday night, Styles was a surprise guest at Lizzo’s show for Pepsi. But The Surf Club seemed to be Styles’ favorite hideaway while in Miami: He dined at the spot well away from the South Beach party scene three nights in a row.
Also there on Friday, Endeavor honcho Ari Emanuel was seen stopping by a table of colleagues, and Williams dined at a separate table.
