Kim Kardashian‘s latest television project is a big change for the reality star.
The “KUWTK” star, 39, is combining her passion for prison reform and her celebrity status to star in a two-hour documentary special, “Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project.” The film will chronicle her journey to help four inmates who she believes are wrongfully sentenced for their alleged crimes.
She will also serve as the documentary’s executive producer.
The mom-of-four was seen filming for the project at the DC Correctional Treatment Facility in Washington in July.
Kardashian has been studying to become a lawyer and is currently completing an apprenticeship with a San Francisco-based law firm. She previously lobbied the White Housefor help with A$AP Rocky’s Swedish imprisonment over the summer in addition to quietly funding a campaign to free 17 federal inmates serving life sentences for low-level drug offenses last spring.
“Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project” premieres on Oxygen on Sunday, April 5, at 7 p.m. ET.
