Trump Tweet storm Targets CNN’s Tapper, Senate’s Tester, Tonight’s Michigan Rally
Published on:
Today’s online menu from President Donald Trump included a reference to the giant rally planned for Washington, Michigan tonight. The event, which is free to the public but ticketed, is intended as a slap against tonight’s White House Correspondents Dinner in Washington, DC, which Trump is again missing thanks to his acrimonious relationships with the media.
Instead, he will likely bask in the enthusiasm of a suburban Michigan crowd, a conservative leaning section of the country that helped propel him to the presidency.
Before departing for Michigan, the president also found time to tweet out good news on South Korea (“Things are going well”), attacked former national intelligence director James Clapper (“He’s a lying machine”) and took Sen. Jon Tester to task for his vetting committee’s attacks on former Administration nominee Dr. Ron Jackson (“Tester should resign.”)
Look forward to being in the Great State of Michigan tonight. Major business expansion and jobs pouring into your State. Auto companies expanding at record pace. Big crowd tonight, will be live on T.V.
